Startup Grind’s fireside chat is with special guest Alex Estevez, who advises portfolio companies and identifies investment opportunities in tech companies across the eastern U.S. for Silicon Valley-based Accel Partners. Accel is a global leader in venture capital, having invested in Atlassian, Dropbox, Dropcam, Etsy, Facebook, Lynda.com, Slack, Squarespace, and Spotify. You might have heard of them.
Prior to Accel, Estevez worked in San Francisco as CFO of Atlassian (Nasdaq: TEAM), a multi-billion-dollar company pioneering team collaboration software. In three years, Estevez helped triple bookings to a nearly $300 million runrate and grow shareholder value from $400 million to $3.3 billion via minority investment with T. Rowe Price. He currently lives in Greenville, SC, and is an advisory board member of NY-based BetterCloud and Grovo.
