Noble Cider, a local craft-cider maker that presented at One Million Cups on Sept. 10, recently announced they’re expanding with a new facility in Asheville. Noble went from brewing 2,000 gallons their first year in 2012 and has now expanded into a building nine times larger with the capacity to brew up to 40,000 gallons a year. They’re growing along with national hard cider sales, which increased from 5.4 million cases sold in 2011 to 13.2 million last year. Plans for Noble’s new Leicester facility includes a tap room or “cider garden,” food trucks and a growler refill station. Read about them in the Asheville Citizen-Times.
