A recent investment by the Asheville Angels, newborn health screening startup Baebies is preparing to scale. The 2-year-old Durham-based biotech company recently raised $13 million in financing. Baebies’ technology screens newborn babies for 200 genetic conditions that are treatable but often go undetected at birth.
