Asheville is staking its claim as “Climate City” as the intellectual climate community rallies around a new climate tech ecosystem within The Collider. Meanwhile the city is positioned for even greater innovation and economic rewards that extend beyond climate and into other areas of our startup community.
That’s the point made in yesterday’s Forbes article by Henry Doss, a venture capitalist who writes and speaks extensively on innovative cultures. He says Asheville has “all of the necessary cultural ingredients for breakthrough innovation forming and growing every day.” That includes intellectual capital, active and engaged thinkers, public-private collaboration and like-minded people willing to sacrifice and dream. After all, it’s the dreamers and do’ers who will create breakthrough technologies for tomorrow.
