SUMMARY

Navitome is looking for an exceptional, self-directed person to join our fast-moving Software-as-a-Service company. The Account Manager will be responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities with SMEs, mid-market companies and enterprises, including working directly with IT and business line owners to implement an innovative, category defining SaaS solution. The ideal candidate is technical enough to be able to credibly discuss technical concepts with prospects. Your ability to understand business needs, and point out the appropriate use of a software solution, will turn you into a very successful and valuable account manager. ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You are a highly collaborative, analytical, organized and entrepreneurial person with a deep interest in software and technology. You are not daunted by the prospect of owning a sales process end to end, and are able to manage and prioritize outbound activity, lead intake, sales pipeline, and existing customer engagements. You’re not intimidated by cold calling prospective clients. You’re confident in your ability to engage senior leadership in strategy conversations and welcome their help to find the right people in their organizations to advance those discussions. You can create an accurate map of prospects, identify their most pressing needs, cultivate relationships with decision makers, and profile their decision making process.

You are comfortable giving feedback to Marketing, Engineering, and the Executive team on messaging, product, and strategy, and understand that doing so is critical to both your and the company’s success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Understand customer needs and position software technology solution accordingly
  • Manage accounts from initial contact through close
  • Strategize, negotiate & close business to meet and exceed annual sales goals
  • Demo software capabilities through web meetings and webinars
  • Attend trade shows and user groups to promote software and services
  • Manage new opportunities and handle all steps from problem identification to close
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM for registering all call and sales activities
  • Make outbound calls to qualify leads
  • Work with Marketing to refine key functionality and benefits into core product marketing messages
  • Understand new software functionalities as released and focus on added value to increase sales
  • Adjust sales strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  • Guide preparation of sales activity reports and present to executive management.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business preferred with two to five years related experience with progressive responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Ability to demonstrate a consultative sales approach in working with clients
  • Educational background in technology or a personal talent and comfort with technology and a desire for a sales career
  • Demonstration of a hunger for and comfort level with software and technology in general. Proficiency in utilizing baseline technology solutions, such as Windows
  • Some exposure to telephone/remote/inside sales, preferably in Technology
  • Business writing skills and oral communication skills
  • BA/BS degree required
  • Effective listener with the ability to assess client needs effectively and address needs through new products and services.
  • You know how to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment in which cross-functional teamwork and initiative is a must.
  • You have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • 2+ years of experience with selling software technology solutions preferred
