Equity investments in NC startups grew by 70% YOY in the first half of 2015. The 90 deals and $427 million in equity funding were largely represented by life science and tech, with advanced manufacturing & materials and cleantech a much smaller percentage. Additionally, NC startups conducted one IPO and 10 M&As.
