One year ago, 1 Million Cups AVL was a caffeinated experiment to bring entrepreneurs together in Asheville. Now a thriving hub for our startup community, 1MC has hosted more than 40 startup presentations and three even launched their products there – MobRocket, Groupdini, and BeesWax Websites.
As a forum to connect and learn how startups are overcoming challenges, 1MC is a sign that “entrepreneurs are increasingly taking ownership of what they want their startup community to look like,” says Josh Dorfman of Venture Asheville. “The community, ultimately, will be as strong as the entrepreneurs who are here want to make it.”
