Ten years ago, Meet the Geeks co-founder Trevor Lohrbeer created a new tech-focused meetup by researching and inviting every tech company in the Asheville area, numbering 400-500 then, to connect, address similar needs and share knowledge. Today the group attracts some 1,200 tech-industry entrepreneurs, investors, telecommuters, software companies, designers and programmers, according to the Asheville Citizen-Times.
