The Software Engineer will be responsible for gathering requirements from both internal and external clients and planning, designing, and developing moderately complex web-based products. This role requires client satisfaction and maintaining ACF Technology’s high quality standards as a top priority.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Plan, design, and develop, document and test software for moderately complex web-based products.
· Gather requirements from both internal and external clients; both technical and non-technical
· Develop extensions to existing software products
· Create new product lines to complement ACF’s existing offerings
· Coordinate delivery of completed solutions with PMO and clients
· Coordinate with internal resources to ensure deployment of product is executed to ACF standards
· Maintain product in a version-controlled environment
· Maintain software issue reports and respond appropriately
· Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure releases conform to ACF standards
· Ensure compatibility with latest browser releases (IE8+, Chrome, Firefox)
· Participate and contribute to quality of products
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience, Competencies and Education
· BS in Computer Science, Web Design, Web Development or technically related field or equivalent related work experience
· 3-5 years’ experience in a software development environment (C#/ASP.NET)
· Experience with Oracle preferred
· Experience with MS SQL Server Reporting Services preferred
· MS SQL 2008+ / IIS 7+ preferred
· XML/XSLT a plus
· Creative self-starter and ability to work independently.
· Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to technical employees
· Ability to interface well with non-technical employees
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· International and Domestic travel required.
