- $62M in local revenue
- 345 Jobs
- Avg. Age of Ventures is 3.8 years young
- Rising healthcare venture representation
- Decreases in Food & Bev and Woman-Owned ventures
The long-short of it is that younger, smaller teams in health and tech are growing the fastest here in Asheville. Is that surprising? Not really. Smaller and younger teams are more nimble and can adapt better in a crisis. And so much more spending went into healthcare. We also saw more home and outdoor fitness companies grow during the pandemic. How many people do you know bought a Peloton? Seeing Rockgeist make the 15, as the first outdoor gear company, was great to witness.
