It’s enough of a challenge to get customers to like your product. But they may not open their wallet to your company unless they identify with your brand. BANGS, an online shoe company with $1 million in sales (which does no advertising or wholesale) was designed with that understanding. Founder Hannah Davis built the brand entirely through social media by connecting with fans passionate about travel and adventure (like these 40K fans on Instagram). Having relocated to Asheville from New York last year, she runs BANGS virtually from wherever she or her customers are inspired – which could be as far as China, where her business concept was created.
