Entrepreneurship is about to get a massive boost in visibility across our city. That’s because physical spaces catering to entrepreneurs are rapidly opening. So never mind your curmudgeonly friends and relatives who claim Asheville is all about hotels and beer (and we are huge fans of both BTW!). Here are the cool spaces that will transform awareness of entrepreneurship throughout the city:

RIVER ARTS DISTRICT
The Ramp (River Arts Maker Place) – a 100,000 sq. ft. facility for collaboration and innovation housing artisans and multiple UNCA programs including Mechatronics

SOUTH SLOPE
The Refinery Creative Space – a 15,000 sq. ft. space for artists to work, collaborate and grow their creative businesses
Base Camp AVL – co-working, co-learning and meeting space for individuals and organizations wanting to make the world a better place

WEST SLOPE
Hatch – emerging hub for high-growth startups and tech ventures at 45 S. French Broad, opening this summer

DOWNTOWN
The Collider – coworking, educational and event space to accelerate an emerging climate resilient economy
Mojo Coworking – the city’s first coworking space, where 1 Million Cups got its start (photo above)
The Hive AVL / Center for Creative Entrepreneurship – coming soon, offering business resources and training programs to support students’ and entrepreneurs’ craft products
